The chief executive of a UK maritime insurance group will be stepping down after two decades of service
Britannia Group chief executive Andrew Cutler has informed the board of directors he intends to resign at the end of 2025.
From the 1 January 2026, Britannia’s current deputy chief executive Mike Hall will take on the position of chief executive to head the P&I insurer into the second half of this decade.
Mr Cutler is also chair of the International Group of P&I Clubs (IG) and will leave that position when his three-year term ends in November 2025.
Mr Hall joined Britannia in 2008 as an underwriter and was the group’s chief underwriting officer from 2014 to 2022, when he was appointed deputy chief executive. He is currently chair of the IG’s reinsurance committee.
