UK-based protection and indemnity shipping insurance company has promoted two senior leadership team members, following the appointment of a new chief executive in January
Britannia P&I Club has appointed Simon Williams as its new chief commercial officer and Helen Todd as its chief underwriting officer, with both starting these positions on 1 June 2026.
Mr Williams had served as the UK-headquartered insurer’s chief underwriting officer since 2022, having joined Britannia Group in 2017.
His promotion left space for Ms Todd to be promoted from her role as deputy chief underwriting officer into that vacant post.
Ms Todd joined Britannia in 2018 as a divisional director and has held the role of deputy chief underwriting officer since 2024.
These senior leadership changes follow the appointment of Mike Hall as Britannia’s chief executive in January 2026.
These changes reflect the group’s commitment to building a more commercially driven business, designed to profitably grow market share and further strengthen its robust financial position, said Mr Hall.
