BSM appoints board member for ESG management

He started 1 June reporting to BSM chief executive Ian Beveridge. Mr Sprotte will oversee HR activities for shore and marine operations at BSM as well as the ESG strategy across the wider Schulte Group.   

Mr Sprotte joined BSM from V Group, where he served as chief executive of the shipmanagement business.

Prior to V Group, he spent four years in senior roles at OSM Maritime. He started his career at Rickmers Group, where he rose from nautical officer to chief executive of maritime services over 15 years.

Mr Sprotte then moved to the position of vice president at Carnival Maritime, where he was responsible for the development and delivery of shipmanagement strategy.
