Ballast water treatment system and marine instruments inspection company has appointed a new chief executive to focus on long-term growth
The new chief executive at a marine system testing and certification company says he is aiming to improve shipping safety while growing his organisation.
Mr Marine has appointed Charles Laarhuis as its new chief executive as it targets growth in its main services of testing, inspection and certification of key maritime components (TIC) and systems.
Mr Laarhuis succeeds Karel Peters in leading the global operations of the growing TIC organisation.
“My goal is to build on the strong foundation laid by Karel Peters and drive forward our mission of ensuring the safety and compliance of vessels worldwide,” said Mr Laarhuis.
“I believe in fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence, empowering our team to exceed client expectations and adapt to the evolving needs of the marine industry.”
He has several years’ experience at sea and in TIC and other classification fields across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Mr Marine was established in 2002 and has grown to incorporate a global network of strategically located service engineers in over 300 ports worldwide for TIC of marine elevators, ballast water treatment systems, and marine fixed and portable instruments.
