Cheniere board member and Lockheed Martin aeronautics executive vice president Michele Evans died on 1 January, according to an announcement by the Bethesda, Maryland-based defence contractor
Ms Evans had more than 34 years’ experience in the defence and aerospace industry, most recently heading up some of Lockheed Martin’s most high-profile projects, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
Sharing his and the company’s condolences, Cheniere Energy president and chief executive Jack Fusco said, “Michele dedicated her career to the security of the United States and our allies, and we are thankful she was able to share her exceptional leadership and experience with us.”
Ms Evans is survived by her husband, David, and two sons, Clark and Parker.
