Malte Willer has been appointed as the new head of E&S Tankers
Mr Willer, an experienced professional in the European chemical tanker market, succeeds Jan Eghøl as managing director of the parcel tanker firm. The company said he will help E&S remain the market leader in the European shortsea market.
The handover process is ongoing and will be completed by mid-August when Mr Eghøj will leave the company and Mr Willer will take over as managing director.
Christian Vang will take up the role of commercial director E&S Tankers, heading the chartering department. Mr Vang has extensive experience in the shipbroking and chartering side of the business, having previously managed all spot activities within E&S Tankers.
In a statement, E&S thanked Mr Eghøj for his efforts “in transforming the company together with the team to become much more customer-centric based on long-term partnerships with our valued customers.”
“We are convinced Malte Willer and Christian Vang, with more than 40 years of combined experience in the industry, are the right candidates to further drive and develop the business, with both extensive ’know how’ and further strong capabilities in commercial understanding and leadership, and will lead E&S Tankers into the future.”
E&S Tankers is a joint venture between Germany’s Essberger Tankers, part of the John T Essberger Group, and Stolt-Nielsen subsidiary Stolt Tankers.
