Norwegian service operation vessel owner Edda Wind has announced its chief financial officer Kenneth Walland is to step down as of 1 January 2025 as he transitions to retirement
In a statement, the company said Mr Walland’s expertise and guidance “have been instrumental in building the organisation, establishing a strong platform for the company’s future development and growth.” Mr Walland has been Edda Wind’s chief executive since 2021.
To ensure a seamless transition, Edda Wind’s chief financial officer Hermann Øverlie will act as interim chief executive, until a permanent chief executive is appointed.
Mr Walland will continue to support the company as an advisor, until mid-2025, providing continuity and the benefit of his significant experience during this period.
The company has initiated the search for a new chief executive and said it will provide further updates in due course.
Edda Wind has been a provider of purpose-built service operation vessels (SOVs) and commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs) to the offshore wind market since 2015. The company has several more CSOVs under construction.
