Veteran energy executive and current chief financial officer Helga Cotgrove has been named the interim chief executive at Eidesvik Offshore, replacing Gitte Gard Talmo
Eidesvik Offshore ASA has named Helga Cotgrove as the interim chief executive, effective immediately. Ms Cotgrove, who is currently chief financial officer, replaces Gitte Gard Talmo, who resigned on 9 September to take a position at an undisclosed international company. Ms Talmo, who will remain with the Norwegian OSV owner for a month during a transition period, has been with Eidesvik Offshore for 22 years, and in the role of chief executive since 1 January 2022.
Ms Cotgrove joined Eidesvik Offshore as chief financial officer in October 2022. She has more than 20 years of energy sector finance experience in various roles within M&A, strategy, tax, finance, accounting and auditing. Prior to joining Eidesvik Offshore, she was the chief financial officer at Norsk Solar AS. Previously, she held the position of director of corporate development for Halliburton in Houston, where she was responsible for global M&A transactions.
Ms Cotgrove holds a degree in accounting and auditing and an MBA in management control from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration. She is also a state-authorised public accountant in Norway.
Meanwhile, Lars Tufteland Engelsen, Eidesvik Offshore’s current vice president, finance, has been elevated to the role of interim chief financial officer.
