Géraldine Brissiaud joins French energy company Engie as chief executive for the LNG terminals business
French LNG terminals operator Elengy, a subsidiary of Engie, has appointed a new chief executive.
The group said it was "delighted to welcome" Géraldine Brissiaud as chief executive of Elengy.
"Her experience, energy, and vision are invaluable assets for supporting the development of our LNG terminals and continuing our commitment to a lower-carbon LNG sector," the company posted to its LinkedIn page.
The new chief executive has been visiting teams on the ground at the Fos Tonkin, Fos Cavaou, and Montoir-de-Bretagne sites to understand the company’s operations and said she is "thrilled to be joining Elengy as chief executive".
Ms Brissiaud’s background includes five years heading CPCU - La Compagnie Parisienne de Chauffage Urbain and the Paris territory — in which she led the transformation of a century‑old company.
"I am now joining Engie’s LNG terminals, a key pillar of LNG supply in France and Europe, and fully engaged in the energy transition. The challenges ahead are significant, and I approach them with enthusiasm and determination. My first priority has been to meet the teams at headquarters and in the field, with initial visits to Fos Tonkin, Fos Cavaou and Montoir-de-Bretagne that left a strong impression. I also had the opportunity to meet several of our clients at the LNG2026 Qatar in Doha to listen to their expectations and better understand their perspectives," she said.
