Foss Maritime appoints new chief operating officer
Chris Mack has been promoted to chief operating officer at Seattle-based Foss Maritime, responsible for all harbour services and activities
He will oversee marine assurance, human resources, fleet engineering and Foss regional management teams in the US states of Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii.
Mr Mack has worked his way up in Foss after joining as an able-seaman in the ocean fleet in 2005. He held several deck positions before moving onshore in 2011.
In the past 11 years, he has been a port captain, project manager, director of operations and most recently general manager of the Pacific Northwest region.
