Göran Eriksson will join the Gothenburg Port Authority as its new chief executive officer in August
He is leaving GAC Group, where he is chief executive of the Indian operations, to take over the top position at Sweden’s largest port from Elvir Dzanic.
Mr Eriksson has been employed by GAC since 2012 and has extensive experience in international competition within the maritime and logistics sectors.
He will assume the position of chief executive 7 August, with part of his remit being to develop the port internationally and introduce new marine fuels.
The Port of Gothenburg is the largest port in Scandinavia, with 30% of Swedish domestic and foreign trade passing through the port and more than 50% of all container traffic.
