A classification society has appointed a global director for its subsidiaries providing marine and offshore consultancy and warranty services to accelerate investment and business development
Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) has appointed Jerome Rutler as global director overseeing TMC Marine and MatthewsDaniel (MatDan), which provide marine and offshore consultancy, energy loss adjusting and marine warranty survey services.
Mr Rutler has more than 30 years of global experience and a track record of executive leadership across public, private, and private equity-backed organisations.
He has served as chief executive and chief operating officer of LOC Group and held several senior positions within Bureau Veritas, including chief executive of BV’s operations in southeast Asia and vice president for corporate development at Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore.
Mr Rutler’s appointment reflects BV’s ambition to strengthen both companies and to invest in their future.
The French society said TMC and MatDan will continue operating under their established brands while benefiting from closer alignment with the broader BV network.
“With Jerome’s appointment, we are reinforcing our commitment to TMC’s and MatDan’s continued potential and growth,” confirmed Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore president Matthieu de Tugny.
“His international expertise and proven leadership will help accelerate their development and reassure clients of our long-term vision.”
