NorthStandard has taken another step in its strategy to introduce more sustainability to the growing list of products it offers the maritime industry
Kate Kwiatkowska has been appointed head of sustainability at UK marine insurer NorthStandard to establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to demonstrate progress in cutting emissions.
She joins from Fintel plc, where she served as head of environment, social and governance (ESG) and corporate marketing, as the protection and indemnity (P&I) club implements it sustainability strategy and publishes its report.
Ms Kwiatkowska will be responsible for engaging with members, brokers, employees and other stakeholders, developing the role sustainability plays in overall strategy and reviewing the club’s sustainability priorities on an ongoing basis.
“The head of sustainability plays a pivotal role at NorthStandard, co-ordinating, developing and driving the organisation’s strategy to ensure we are operating responsibly and building an organisation that will support and protect our members not only today, but for future generations,” said NorthStandard chief strategy officer Ed Davies.
