Svitzer Australia appoints new general manager
Tully Barnes has been promoted within Svitzer to become general manager of operations in Australia-West and Papua New Guinea (PNG)
He joined Svitzer nearly 10 years ago following a career in the Royal Australian Navy and was most recently head of defence projects and port manager in Darwin for the tug owner.
In this new role, Mr Barnes will be responsible for all Svitzer’s harbour and terminal port operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory and PNG. He also joins Svitzer’s senior Australian leadership team, contributing his experience in port operations, towage and defence work.
