HEA Energy, a key player in the provision of offshore marine logistics solutions, has bolstered its offshore wind service capabilities after acquiring three Jack up Barges from Seajacks International, a subsidiary of US listed Eneti Inc.
The hugely versatile GustoMSC NG2500x design Jack up Barges have since been contracted into notable projects, including long term support for a major IOC’s FLNG project in West Africa, with the remainder providing lifting and accommodation support for Offshore Wind projects in the UK and German sectors of the North Sea.
HEA Energy, established last year by former ZMI Holdings founder and Executive Chairman, Mr Hassan El Ali, aims to lead the way in the offshore Oil & Gas industry’s transition toward greener energy, decarbonizing operations by developing a net-zero strategy in line with the emission reduction commitments of jurisdictions where HEA operate, which now will continue to include Offshore wind developments across the globe.
In line with HEA Energy’s commitment to supporting the dynamic requirements of the global energy sector, and its principal activities which continues to be the provision of vessels to the offshore Oil & Gas and Renewable energy sectors, HEA expects to announce over the coming weeks, further acquisitions including several Wind Turbine Installation Vessels (WTIVs) capable of installing offshore wind turbines and foundations, as well as supporting O&M programs with a particular focus on North West Europe, Asia, and North East USA.
As further evidence of its role as a pivotal player in the offshore energy industry, HEA Energy continues to drive its aggressive newbuild program which currently has 7 vessels under construction with deliveries across 2024 with a considerable focus on versatile Jack up Barges and battery powered Subsea vessel solutions.
