GO Offshore is sailing its construction support vessel GO Supporter from West Africa to the Mediterranean after securing a term charter from CSS Subsea
This 2014-built vessel will start a one-month project with Prysmian in April after a stopover at Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, and then a five-month project with Saipem in the Mediterranean region.
CSS Subsea will equip GO Supporter with at least two remotely operated vehicles and an air spread for diving and trenching tools for workscopes in the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
GO Supporter already has a 150-tonne active heave-compensated crane, accommodation for 100 workers, a helideck, a 6.0 m by 6.6 m moonpool and 800-m2 deck space.
CSS Subsea said this vessel will be ready for survey and ROV inspections, trenching work, air and saturation diving operations.
“Due to the current market, we firmly believe the synergy between a robust and reliable shipowner like Go Offshore and CSS Subsea technical capabilities can create and add value for all our clients,” said CSS Subsea.
“We start this challenging co-operation with the confidence to provide the best services and increase the range of client satisfaction.”
