A shipowning group has installed a digital platform for reporting emissions through an ABS platform
AL Group has deployed a digitalisation platform across its fleet of tankers, container ships and bulk carriers for automated regulatory compliance, data management and vessel optimisation.
One of the first companies to streamline automated and digital live-emissions reporting with classification society ABS, it collates and analyses historical data and high-frequency information from current operations using Singapore headquartered Smart Ship Hub’s digitalisation platform.
AL Group receives data-driven and actionable insights across fuel and emissions management, condition-based maintenance and automated data quality management.
It has deployed this across its entire fleet and has rolled out digital reporting on the ABS emissions online facility.
“Our collaboration with Smart Ship Hub has unlocked value across the technical, commercial and regulatory front,” said AL Group fleet director Tonci Zdunic. “We monitor and control the performance of our vessels in real time, analysing high-frequency sensor data and benchmarking against our company key performance indicators,” he said.
“We have significantly raised the bar for automated compliance, data quality management and regulatory filing.”
ABS emissions management platform has provided three-level data validation of Smart Ship Hub’s vessel reporting system (VRS) that it ensures over 95% data accuracy, significantly reducing human error and manual intervention.
It validated that VRS can be remotely installed on any vessel’s onboard computers without hardware upgrades and is operational within minutes at no additional cost and that VRS automatically upgrades and updates itself with the latest rules and regulatory requirements, eliminating the use of outdated submissions and ensuring ongoing compliance without manual effort.
AL Group owns and manages fleets under Singapore-based Asiatic Lloyd and Atlantic Lloyd from Hamburg, Germany.
