Crystal exercises option for another ‘high-end’ cruise ship
Crystal has exercised an option with Fincantieri for the construction of a high-end, state-of-the-art cruise ship, adding to the two units ordered in June.
The new ship, like its two sister vessels, will have a gross tonnage of 61,800 tonnes and will accommodate approximately 690 passengers.
A statement said, “The interior design, developed by prestigious international architectural firms, will incorporate high-quality materials and craftsmanship. The vessel will feature all-suite accommodations with private balconies, alongside single-occupancy cabins catering to solo travellers. The ship will also boast one of the highest crew-to-passenger ratios in this segment, ensuring exceptional personalised service and attention to detail.”
In June this year, Fincantieri and Crystal signed a memorandum of agreement to build the cruise ship duo, with an option for this third ship. Delivery of the first ship is scheduled for Q2 2028, with further details on the second ship to be announced.
“The collaboration between Fincantieri and Crystal represents a strong commitment to luxury and innovation in the cruise industry, promising a superior travel experience for guests,” said Fincantieri.
