Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic reveals redesigned suites and amenities

Designed with Hamburg-based interior design studio Partner Ship Design and built by the Swedish marine outfitter HF Interior, the eight revitalised suites now reflect the sleek Scandinavian design that has become a hallmark of Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic’s polar fleet since the debut of National Geographic Endurance and National Geographic Resolution.

Light Scandinavian oak wood has been paired with bronze features, and detailed textured fabrics combined with accent soft goods and colours of aqua and cassis.

“For many, National Geographic Explorer, with its rich polar heritage, represents the paradigm of an expedition vessel,” said Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic vice president of hotel operations Ana Esteves. “The new stunning interior enhancements made to its suites tie National Geographic Explorer together with our other purpose-built ice-class ships, while still creating an air of unique distinction and highlighting what makes this ship such a staple in the Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic fleet.”

Beyond aesthetic enhancements, each of these suites now features a state-of-the-art command centre for technology and tools – such as a barometer, a National Geographic atlas, an LG television that broadcasts entertainment and ship navigation, an in-room espresso maker, multiple USB and universal electric ports for cameras and other devices, and exclusively appointed artwork – allowing guests to continue to explore from the comfort of their cabin.

In addition to the reveal of the new suites on National Geographic Explorer, the brand has also revealed a new suite exclusives package available across the Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic fleet. With this new package, guests staying in eligible cabin categories will have access to an array of amenities and perks designed to enhance their onboard experience, including: an exclusive welcome gift upon embarkation, priority booking for spa and wellness treatments, an in-room espresso machine and complimentary laundry services.
