Maersk Offshore Wind has confirmed that its newbuild wind turbine installation vessel has completed sea trials prior to delivery at the end of February 2026
The new vessel, which was recently the subject of a legal dispute between Seatrium and Maersk Offshore Wind, uses an innovative feeder barge concept to deliver wind turbine components to it.
In late December 2025, Seatrium said Seatrium Energy (International) (SEI) and the owner had reached an agreement for SEI to deliver the vessel and the buyer to take delivery of the vessel by 28 February 2026. The case recently went to arbitration.
Maersk Offshore Wind said the vessel is due for delivery in Q1 2026.
