The Japanese bulk and chemical carrier will use a suite of digital tools to track vessel performance and regulatory compliance
Nisshin Shipping is deploying software across its fleet of bulk and chemical carriers to improve reporting, emissions tracking and regulation compliance. This suite of digital tools will provide real-time operational and compliance insights and enable the Japanese owner to lower fuel consumption and emissions.
Nisshin Shipping selected OrbitMI to provide software for fleet management and vessel reporting on 14 of its ships following a successful pilot project.
“We sought a solution to enhance fleet management by optimising reporting, emissions tracking, and compliance while reducing manual data entry,” said Nisshin Shipping director and executive officer, Tatsuomi Hori.
OrbitMI consolidates key regulatory data in one interface, simplifying reporting and compliance. Operators can monitor emissions, track vessel performance through voyages, and generate reports for various regulatory bodies inlcuding IMO’s carbon intensity index, the European Union’s emissions trading system and FuelEU.
OrbitMI also provides real-time alerts on speed, fuel consumption and a vessel’s estimated time of arrival.
