Marine glass bonding specialist Brombach + Gess has developed a protection screen to minimise infection risk for passengers in cruise terminals
Queue-Protect is a cassette attachment with an extendable, highly transparent protective screen that can be attached to an existing passenger guidance system. Brombach + Gess also offers Queue-Protect as a complete system.
Queue-Protect can be used for passenger security and distance control in cruise terminal waiting areas or during the boarding process. Minimising the risk to passengers and crew of infections is critical for cruise shipping and ferry owners in the post-Covid world.
Using the screening system, you can direct flows of passengers in “a safe and targeted manner,” said Brombach + Gess in a press statement. “The hygienic protection screen ensures safety against droplet infections when people are moving in opposite directions,” the company added.
Last year, Brombach + Gess unveiled a flexible liftable and lowerable balustrade solution for cruise ships, river cruise vessels and ferries that combines two products into one system to provide wind protection on deck.
Called Balustrademove, the flexible turnkey system can transform outdoor restaurant terraces or sun deck areas on board in particularly windy places into ‘cosy corners’ said the company.
