Marco Polo Marine and F-drones Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based company developing large-scale autonomous drones, have announced plans to develop electrically powered delivery drones for offshore windfarms
The partners claim using delivery drones will result in considerable costs savings and faster delivery of items than using vessels or helicopters.
F-drones is developing drones to deliver cargoes of up to 100 kg over distances of 100 km.
“Utilising drones will result in much lower CO2 emissions compared to sending a supply vessel or crew transfer vessel to offshore windfarms,” said the company.
F-drones develops and operates proprietary aerial delivery drones and was the first company to provide 24-hour commercial beyond-visual-line-of-sight drone deliveries.
