Swire Seabed opts for Supporter

Swire Seabed has placed an order for the acquisition of two Kystdesign Supporter work-class ROVs and Lidan launch and recovery systems. The ROVS are due to be delivered in February 2016. Swire Seabed has the option to purchase two more work-class ROVs.

Swire Seabed has placed an order for the acquisition of two Kystdesign Supporter work-class ROVs and Lidan launch and recovery systems. The ROVS are due to be delivered in February 2016. Swire Seabed has the option to purchase two more work-class ROVs.Aleron Subsea, a specialist ROV refurbishment, upgrade, sales and rental company, has acquired ROVQUIP, an Aberdeenshire, UK-based ROV tooling manufacturer. The acquisition, worth around £1.2 million, is part of a strategic growth plan for the company.

The acquisition of ROVQUIP further expands the product and service offering of Aleron Subsea, adding specialist tooling to the products range.
