Owners of subsea construction, maintenance and support vessels can look forward to a hectic market with high demand and fleet utilisation for the next five years
Archer Knight co-founder and executive director, David Sheret, described the surging subsea oil and gas sector and highlighted future opportunities during an interview at Riviera’s Offshore Support Journal Conference, Asia 2024, held in Singapore in September.
He describes the subsea market in Asia, highlighting the projects and future demand, especially for diving support vessels and those providing walk-to-work and maintenance services.
Mr Sheret highlights the decommissioning potential in Australia, and comments on the potential for ordering new subsea support vessels.
But owners face challenges in securing finance to support their fleet renewal, upgrade and expansion strategies for the future.
Riviera’s Offshore Support Journal Subsea Conference 2025 will be held in London on 3 February 2025. The programme will address how the next generation of vessels are evolving to meet the changing demands of offshore operations.
