Acta Marine has taken delivery of Acta Pegasus, its fourth commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) and the first in a new series of four ships being built for the company in Turkey
The vessel, built in Turkey at Tersan Shipyard, can accommodate up to 135 people and is equipped with offshore access and lifting systems, including a 3D motion-compensated gangway and a 3D-compensated crane.
In line with Acta Marine’s sustainability ambitions, Acta Pegasus is methanol-ready, supporting the transition toward lower-emissions offshore operations.
Acta Pegasus will operate under the French flag, supporting offshore wind projects in France. The company is mobilising the vessel and making final preparations to deploy it on its first project.
A sister vessel, Acta Hercules, is under construction and is due to enter service in Q1 2026, followed by Acta Gemini and Acta Aquarius during Q2 2026.
Acta Pegasus is based on Ulstein’s twin X-Stern hull design, which provides reduced motions compared with a conventional hull, enhanced dynamic positioning capability and optimal performance in challenging weather conditions.
The vessel is fitted with dual-fuel engines capable of operating on marine gas oil (MGO) or a blend of MGO and methanol, and has a battery energy storage system.
Acta Pegasus has a 3D motion-compensated crane, supplied by SMST, with a lifting capacity of 6 tonnes. An SMST motion-compensated gangway enables reliable walk-to-work transfers in wave heights up to 3.0 m and is equipped with an integrated elevator to seamlessly transfer personnel and cargo.
Designed with crew wellbeing at its core, the vessel has 88 cabins, complemented by high-quality amenities.
