Anthony Veder signs long-term maintenance framework for gas compressors, ensuring reliability and efficiency across its gas carrier fleet
Anthony Veder has reinforced its operational efficiency by entering into a long-term service agreement (LTSA) for the maintenance of reciprocating gas compressors used across its fleet of petrochemical and LNG gas carriers.
The move is part of the company’s strategy to maintain reliability and reduce operational risks when transporting liquefied natural gas.
The Rotterdam-based operator manages 30 modern gas carriers that rely on 56 reciprocating compressors, key components for maintaining safe and efficient petrochemical gas and LNG transport.
The fleet includes 18,000-m3 Coral EnergICE, which in 2018 was world’s first small-scale LNG carrier holding an Ice-Class 1A Super classification.
According to Anthony Veder, the newly signed maintenance framework will simplify operations and ensure the seamless performance of these critical systems.
The LTSA was signed with Burckhardt Compression, which has developed flexible maintenance agreements tailored to the specific needs of marine applications. These frameworks address spare parts supply, technical support and pre-emptive planning, enabling operators to streamline compressor upkeep and adapt to evolving requirements.
Looking ahead, the agreement also incorporates advanced support tools including augmented reality and global internet coverage, to enable real-time assistance.
Such innovations ensure lessons learned from individual components are applied fleetwide, reducing the risk of recurring issues.
Anthony Veder is confident the agreement aligns with its goals for operational efficiency and stability in the highly competitive LNG market.
