Akastor subsidiary DDW Offshore has entered into a binding agreement to sell the anchor-handling tug/supply (AHTS) vessel Skandi Emerald for US$23M
Skandi Emerald is a 200-tonne bollard pull AHTS vessel designed for operations in a wide range of water depths and environmental conditions. The vessel was built in 2011.
The agreement was entered into on Saleform 2012 terms, amended for the transaction, is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in Q2 2026.
Following the sale of the anchor-handling tug/supply vessel, DDW Offshore’s revolving credit facility will be reduced from US$16M to US$8M.
In January 2026, the company completed the sale of another AHTS vessel, Skandi Atlantic, for approximately US$23M, and used the proceeds to pay down debt.
DDW Offshore was founded in 2007 to own and operate six AHTS vessels being built at what is now Vard Vung Tau. The six vessels were delivered between 2010 and 2012.
