A multipurpose towage-capable workboat has been completed at a Dutch shipyard with dynamic positioning to DP2 class
Neptune Marine has added a EuroCarrier towage workboat to its growing fleet of self-built vessels for rental and maritime projects.
It named its latest 33-m multipurpose workboat Inne K at its shipyard at Merwede, in the Netherlands, before it started its first barge manoeuvring work.
This 486-gt vessel was built to a EuroCarrier 3314 design with dynamic positioning to DP2 class, a beam of 14 m and a bollard pull of 50 tonnes, a large open work-deck and two large deck cranes to support marine construction and offshore work.
Its propulsion includes main diesel engines and exhaust aftertreatment units to remove NOx and comply with IMO Tier III emissions standards.
After completion at the shipyard, Inne K was used to push 75-m EuroPontoon NP639, with a beam of 22 m and depth of 4 m, towards Hardinxveld-Giessendam.
During the Inne K naming ceremony at the end of June, Neptune also commissioned cable repair ship Curo, built for N-Sea Group.
Neptune’s shipyard also delivered EuroCarrier Sea Phanagoria to Seacontractors in June. This 27-m workboat was built to EuroCarrier 2712 design with a 12-m beam, bow and stern rollers, towing winches, knuckle boom cranes on the aft and the forward deck, and a bollard pull of 35 tonnes.
It is equipped to support marine construction, dredging, anchor handling, barge pushing, vessel towing and offshore operations.
The shipyard also refitted EuroJack-up NP497 at its facilities in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, and in June it left for its next assignment in Maasvlakte.
