In a deal between two US owners, Otto Candies has added four high-spec MPSVs from HGIM with "proven subsea capability"
Louisiana-based Otto Candies has enhanced its subsea fleet, acquiring four high-spec multi-purpose supply vessels (MPSVs) from fellow US owner Harvey Gulf International Marine (HGIM). No terms of the transaction were disclosed.
The four DP-2-class MPSVs, Harvey Blue-Sea, Harvey Sub-Sea, Harvey Deep-Sea and Harvey Intervention, officially joined the Otto Candies fleet on 23 October, according to the new owner, which characterised the acquisition as a “meaningful step forward” in the company’s growth. Otto Candies said quartet of US-flag vessels “brings proven subsea capability and operational versatility.”
Harvey Sub-Sea and Harvey Blue-Sea were both built in 2017 has an overall length of 103.7 m, deadweight of 5,789 tonnes, while the 2013-built Harvey Deep-Sea has an overall length of 92.1 m, and deadweight of 4,506 tonnes and 2012-built Harvey Invention has an overall length of 91.5 m and deadweight of 5,378 tonnes.
