Saipem has been awarded a new subsea contract by Azule Energy Angola for the development of the Ndungu Field as part of Agogo Integrated West Hub Project
Azule Angola is the local subsidiary of Azule Energy Holdings Ltd – the joint venture between Eni and BP.
Azule’s Agogo project is located in the West Hub of Block 15/06, about 180 km off the coast of Angola. Malaysian firm Yinson is constructing an FPSO for this project with the lifting and installation operation of the first modules and the connection of the electrical system of the residential area for the FPSO.
Saipem said the contract is valued at US$850M. The work scope entails engineering, fabricating, transporting and installing approximately 60 km of rigid pipelines and subsea facilities at a depth of around 1,100 m, and transporting and installing flexible flowlines, jumpers and 17 km of umbilicals.
Fabrication activities will be executed at Saipem’s Ambriz yard, in Angola. For the offshore installation campaign, the Italian oilfield services provider expects to deploy its FDS vessel to transport and lay the rigid pipelines.
