A May 2024 drydock of SeaDream I has marked the final step in a full keel-to-mast upgrade of SeaDream’s twin yachts
The US$10M plus project includes upgrades of all suites, staterooms, public areas and open deck spaces on both yachts.
Featuring a new and modern décor, while retaining the intimate luxury of the SeaDream yachts, the upgrades include enhanced stateroom space, and luxurious lounging spaces such as The SeaClub forward on Deck 6, featuring hammocks, a golf simulator, plush sun loungers, and two new couples’ hot tubs with unobstructed views.
During the drydock, SeaDream I upgraded the panoramic gym, the sauna and the SeaDream Spa.
Elsewhere, SeaDream Yacht Club has announced it offers the only water slide on any cruise ship that takes you directly from ship to sea.
The 7-m inflatable slides take a person from the pool deck and drop them into the crystal-clear waters of Caribbean or Mediterranean almost 6 m below.
The 2023/2024 Caribbean season is the first full Caribbean season of operation for the slides, which, the company said, have proven extremely popular with SeaDream guests of all ages.
From SeaDream’s signature marina, guests can swim and snorkel directly off the yachts, or use jet skis, kayaks, standup paddleboards, sailing boats, banana boat, a floating trampoline and more.
