Super cycle sets ‘high expectations’ for Annual OSJ Conference

Amid a buoyant offshore oil and gas market described as a ‘super cycle’, characterised by increased greenfield spending, climbing vessel day rates and utilisation levels reaching over 90% in some regions, expectations could not be higher when the global OSV community gathers in London on 7-8 February 2024.

Against a background of heightened geopolitical uncertainty, increasing energy demand and climate change concerns, well-respected thought leaders and renowned experts will provide deep dives into investment opportunities and challenges, regulations, trends and technologies impacting the design, operation and construction of offshore support vessels.

The intensive two-day conference is just one element of what has become known as OSJ Week. The week kicks off on 6 February with two simultaneous, well-established, one-day events, the Offshore Wind Journal Conference and Offshore Support Journal Subsea Conference. With 2023 a record year for investment in offshore wind and expectations high for clean energy spending in the years ahead, the table is set for an exciting Offshore Wind Journal Conference.

With new opportunities emerging in low-carbon oil and gas, decommissioning, floating wind, carbon capture, storage and utilisation and hydrogen production, discussions at the Offshore Support Journal Subsea Conference should be just as lively.

Not to be overlooked are all the networking opportunities during OSJ Week, culminating in the gala dinner and awards ceremony with the prestigious OSJ Awards on the evening of 7 February. Eleven awards will be presented, nine of which are selected by industry voters.
