A supplier of fuel oil and lubricants in Greece has expanded its fleet of vessel-handling tugboats in a major port in the Aegean
Sekavin has taken delivery of a new 24-m tugboat with conventional propulsion from a Turkish shipbuilder to expand its fleet in a major port in Greece.
Med Marine has delivered a tugboat with 40 tonnes of bollard pull to the Greek supplier of fuel oils, distillates and lubricants.
This vessel was built in Eregli Shipyard on the Black Sea coast of Turkey to Robert Allan Ltd’s DRAfter 2400 design and with a beam of 11 m, a depth of 4.5 m and a top speed of 10 knots and accommodation for six crew members.
The tug is equipped with an aft winch and towing hook for high precision and safety in towing, pushing and mooring operations.
Sekavin supplies fuel oils, distillates and lubricants in the wider area of Piraeus port, Agioi Theodoroi and Syros island.
Its shipping agency subsidiary, Sekavar, also has a presence across other areas of Greece and in Cyprus and other Mediterranean ports.
