In October 2020 our conference programme moved online, allowing our global communities to continue to connect, network and gather knowledge. Our virtual conferences offer ample opportunity to participate in live sessions, to arrange meetings and network, whilst also allowing attendees to keep on top of their daily routine, and still have some personal time.
This year’s conference brought key industry players together to be updated on the latest rules and guidelines, threats, and technologies. Professionals from all areas of the industry met to collaborate, share best practice, discuss operational requirements, compliance and cost, and listen to those creating technologies, training and software to safeguard against ever-present and multiplying threats.
The session content is available below.
A brief introduction to what is to come during the day from the conference chairman and moderator Edwin Lampert, Executive Editor and Head of Business Relations, Riviera Maritime Media.
Spotlight Interview: The view from the shipowner
Join us and share the thoughts of a leading shipowner on the cyber security outlook for 2021. Hear his views on COVID-19 and rapid digital transformation; the health of the industry’s supply chain; compliance; and the likelihood that the shipping industry will again be caught up in a state sponsored cyber attack.
SESSION 1: 2021 Guidelines and regulations: Are you prepared?
It is only a matter of months before IMO’s new Cyber Risk Management (CRM) guidelines are in force and compliance is required to the ISM Code with additional mandatory cyber-security requirements. Join this session to assess the forthcoming regulations and your preparedness.
SESSION 2: Perception, reality and impact of maritime cyber-security threats
Ensuring safe vessels and operations in times of digital transformation.
SESSION 3: Creating and effective management plan and cyber-resilient culture
A cyber breach - in whatever form it takes - is costly and potentially devastating. Companies of all sizes are vulnerable, and the age of COVID-19 has reduced workforces and introduced greater dependency on the internet of things. This session will highlight how vessel owners and operators can create an effective management plan and cyber-resilient culture.
