Bhagwan Marine unveils subsea, decommissioning vessel in Australia

Bhagwan Marine has positioned itself in the growing oil and gas decommissioning sector in Australia by adding a vessel designed for subsea offshore and defence work to its fleet.

Bhagwan Micah (formerly Phoenix) was named at Bhagwan’s base in Brisbane, Queensland, in early January 2026 as a stern landing vessel prepared for offshore energy and subsea operations.

It is designed to work in shallow or deep water for inspection, maintenance and repair of subsea infrastructure, defence logistics, port projects and decommissioning operations.

Bhagwan has taken this 38-m vessel on a five-year bareboat charter from BM Fleet, for long-term control and asset capacity, “while maintaining capital flexibility for further fleet renewal,” said the Australian vessel operator.

“Bhagwan Micah is not just another vessel; it is a strategic asset that reinforces Bhagwan Marine’s leadership in complex, high-consequence marine operations where safety, technical performance and environmental responsibility cannot be compromised,” said Bhagwan Marine.

“We invite operators in offshore energy, subsea construction, renewables, ports and defence to discuss how Bhagwan Micah, and our broader 100-vessel fleet, can derisk and accelerate their next project.”
