DEME has taken delivery of its second new wind turbine installation vessel, Norse Energi
Built by CIMC Raffles Shipyard, the vessel is a sister vessel to the recently delivered Norse Wind.
Like Norse Wind, Norse Energi is purpose‑built to install the next generation of large-scale offshore wind turbines.
Designed by GustoMSC, Norse Energi is engineered to install turbines with rotor diameters measuring more than 300 m and XXL monopiles weighing up to 3,000 tonnes, in water depths of up to 70 m.
Both vessels are already contracted for offshore wind projects in Europe and will enter service in the first half of 2026.
Riviera’s Offshore Wind Journal Conference will be held in London on 2 February 2026. Use this link for more information and to register for the event.
