Global Maritime Consultancy awarded MWS contract for Brazilian FPSO

Under the agreement with Modec, Global Maritime will provide MWS services to support the transportation and installation phases of the Gato do Mato – Orca development, which is located approximately 200 km offshore south of Rio de Janeiro in the Santos Basin.

The FPSO Gato do Mato is a newbuild floating production unit designed for operation in waters of approximately 2,000 m. It will have a production capacity of up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day. The facility will be spread-moored and is designed for a long-term operational life of up to 25 years.

As part of the scope, Global Maritime will review and approve key marine operations, including load-out, transportation, offshore mooring installation and FPSO hook-up activities for both hull and topsides in Brazil and across multiple countries.
