Shipmanagement group unveils a new division to offer green solutions, advanced technologies and data-driven insights
OSM Thome’s Evigo green services division will use data analytics for operational and environmental insights to help the shipping industry on its decarbonisation drive. The shipmanagement group introduced Evido to offer solutions to shipping companies for maritime sustainability, to help clients navigate complex environmental regulations and adopt green technologies to reduce emissions and remain competitive.
Data-driven insights using digital innovations will help shipowners to reduce their fuel consumption and emissions.
OSM Thome has appointed Grieg Green managing director Pia Meling as managing director of Evigo, effective from March 2025.
“By leveraging the global competence of OSM Thome’s advanced technologies, digital innovation and strong partnerships, we will deliver impactful solutions that drive real progress toward a greener, more resilient maritime sector,” said Ms Meling. “The combination of data-driven insights and physical service offerings at scale will ensure tangible and measurable results for our customers.”
At the launch of Evigo in Athens, Greece on 22 January, OSM Thome chief marine services officer Tommy Olofsen said this division is the “cornerstone of our vision for a sustainable maritime industry.”
He added this division would “support clients in adapting to regulatory demands while also championing solutions that propel the industry forward.”
