Chinese switchboard specialist expands

The production resources of Xinya Electric now include what is reportedly the largest marine switchboard workshop in China. Founded in 1982, the company specialises in designing and manufacturing switchboards, control consoles and other marine electric installations.

An agreement in 2006 enabled Xinya to exploit Schneider Electric technology and systems as well as own-brand products. ISO 9001-2000 certification was gained in 1999, and compliance with the rules of all leading classification societies is reported.

The portfolio includes power management, alarm and monitoring and general monitoring systems, marine control consoles, main and emergency switchboards, group starter panels and shore connection boxes. Equipment has been supplied to tankers, dredgers, bulk carriers, container ships and salvage vessels as well as for offshore installations. MP
