The 2017-built dive support vessel Lichtenstein completed its first subsea saturation dive operation in Malaysia, according to the ship’s Singapore-based commercial manager
Now owned by TSC Offshore, a division of China Merchants Industry Holdings, Lichtenstein was once part of the Ultra Deep Solutions fleet. Designed by Norwegian naval architectural firm Marin Teknikk and built by China Merchants Heavy Industry, Lichtenstein has a twin bell and twin self-propelled hyperbaric lifeboat for 18. The MT 6024 vessel flies the Bahamas flag, and has an overall length of 120.8 m, beam of 25 m, depth of 10 m, draught of 7.715 m, with accommodation for 130. Lichtenstein is under DNV class.
In a social media post, Singapore-based Viridian Maritime, which manages the vessel, expressed appreciation to its marine crew and team of dive technicians, LSS and LST for their commitment and support, as well as “the project team, our suppliers and service providers who had partnered with us to restore the advanced capabilities of the vessel which had been a long and arduous process.”
