A slew of changes to the chemical tanker company’s management team have been announced
Nicolas Busch, a founder and chief executive of Navig8 group, has stepped down from the management team of Navig8 Chemical Tankers. Navig8 and Navig8 Chemical Tankers chief financial officer Paul Stevens, and Navig8 Chemical Tankers chief operating officer David Wiswell are also stepping down from their roles.
It would appear that the trio are to take up roles with the Navig8 group, but there was no clear statement as to their new roles.
They are to be replaced at Navig8 Chemical Tankers by Jens Gronning, who joins as chief executive officer and Torben Bager who is taking on the role of chief financial officer.
Jens Gronning has been listed as a member of the board of directors of Navig8 Chemical Tankers since January 2019, is a co-owner and partner in Danish shipping company Otto Danielsen and was once the chief executive officer of Team Tankers. Torben Bager has a finance background, having been a senior vice president of finance at Torm, and an executive vice president of finance with Hafnia Management.
The board of directors of Navig8 Chemical Tankers said in a statement “We are pleased to welcome Jens Gronning as the new chief executive of Navig8 Chemical Tankers Inc.”
“Jens brings an extensive background in the shipping industry and deep experience with chemical and product tankers. Together with our new CFO Torben Bager, who has significant knowledge of the maritime finance space from years of working with leading product tanker companies, Jens will lead a new management team that will propel our business forward.”
“We thank Nicolas [Busch], Paul [Stevens] and David [Wiswell] for their many contributions to the company’s development and look forward to continuing to work together with them in their roles at Navig8, a significant shareholder in the company.”
