Marine Bearing Solutions (MBS) was founded in 2013 in response to demand for highly reliable NTN-SNR turbocharger bearings in the marine industry.

NTN-SNR has been designing, manufacturing and developing solutions for turbocharger bearings for more than 20 years and is recognised as a major player in all the sectors it serves. It is committed to quality and says the bedrock is profound knowledge of the assembly process. The MBS team has more than 20 years of experience in the assembling of bearings and its members have been in close contact and well known to NTN-SNR for a long period of time. In other words, each side knows it can totally rely on the other.

From the purpose-built, climate controlled, bearing room, bearings are assembled with high precision, using only calibrated tools to ensure all measurements are correct. The whole assembly process is monitored from start to finish. All measurements and clearances are recorded and linked to a unique serial number. Each individual bearing can be traced from NTN-SNR production, all the way to the actual bearing unit installation. Bearings are packed in air-tight strong tins to preserve their quality, especially useful if retained as spares.

Often during a turbocharger overhaul, more than bearings are needed. MBS provides a complete range of spare parts including: nozzle; cover rings; rotors; turbine blades; gas in- & outlet casings; oil pumps, seals and gaskets.

A large inventory is maintained to ensure short delivery times. The company also offers a worldwide turbocharger service which carries out expert repair and maintenance.

MBS is strategically located in Zwijndrecht, The Netherlands. This means parts can be rapidly shipped to any destination via ports of Rotterdam or Antwerp or by air from Rotterdam/The Hague airport or Amsterdam's Schiphol international airport.
