Mainprize Offshore in the UK has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Strategic Marine for six ‘Supa SWATH’ crew transfer vessels (CTVs)
The deal, which includes options for six more vessels of the same type, follows the recent delivery of two Supa SWATH vessels to the UK-based operator.
The shipyard said the Supa SWATH vessels are known for their stability and efficiency.
“The unique design of the Supa SWATH vessels ensures unparalleled stability, making them ideal for operations in demanding environments,” said Strategic Marine.
“Equipped with cutting-edge propulsion systems, these vessels offer significant fuel savings, thereby creating a smaller carbon footprint and contributing to sustainability goals. The integration of the latest navigation and communication technologies ensures safer and more efficient operations.”
The yard said they are designed to support a wide range of activities, including transport, offshore support and survey.
“We are thrilled to enter into this agreement," said Mainprize Offshore managing director Bob Mainprize. “The Supa SWATH vessels are a significant investment in the future of our fleet, offering superior performance and versatility.”
