Amigo LNG concludes LNG sales agreements with Gunvor and OQ and awards marine facilities’ EPC contract to COMSA Marine
Amigo LNG has executed a 20-year LNG sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Gunvor Singapore Pte for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to global markets. The company stated the agreement will provide “reliable, competitive energy to global markets over a 20-year term.”
Gunvor said the SPA “underscores our long-term commitment to provide reliable LNG supply to our customers worldwide.”
Amigo LNG has also finalised a 15-year LNG SPA with OQ Trading, the trading arm of Oman’s global integrated energy group. The companies described the agreement as a means to “strengthen global energy partnerships.”
Amigo LNG said both agreements are aligned with its strategy to deliver LNG to buyers worldwide through long-term partnerships.
In a separate development, Amigo LNG has awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for its marine facilities to COMSA Marine. The company announced the EPC award “marks an important step in the progress of Amigo LNG’s LNG export project.”
According to Amigo LNG’s website, the project is a land-based liquefaction terminal under development at Guaymas, Sonora on Mexico’s west coast. The first train will have capacity of 3.9M tonnes per annum with potential for a second train of equal size.
Feed gas will be sourced from the Permian shale basin in the United States and delivered to the site through existing pipelines. The 150-acre project site provides deepwater access for LNG carriers of up to 265,000 m³.
The development is led by LNG Alliance Pte Ltd of Singapore and Epcilon LNG LLC of the United States.
