More ballast water systems added to USCG pending type-approval list

November 2023 saw five BWMS added to the pending type-approvals list. The five are all BWMS that have already received USCG type-approval, but have upgrades and additions that require amendments to their current type-approvals.

The five BWMS added in November to the pending list comprise: Techcross (ECS & ECS-A), Panasia Co Ltd (GloEn-Patrol, and GloEn-Patrol 2.0), DESMI Ocean Guard A/S (CompactClean), and TeamTec BWMS AS (Senza BWMS).

Four other BWMS which have previously been granted USCG type-approval have also been added in 2023, and comprise: Wärtsilä Water Systems (Aquarius UV), Norwegian Greentech AS (NGT BWMS), Semb-Eco Pte, Ltd (LUV U1), and BAWAT A/S (BAWAT BWMS Mk 2).

Of the 10 BWMS pending type-approval, only the Techcross ECS-HYCLHOR 2.0 BWMS has not been previously been type-approved.
