An important milestone has been reached at the Hai Long offshore windfarm in Taiwan, with all of the project’s jacket foundations installed
DEME’s Taiwanese joint venture CDWE completed installation of all of the 73 jacket foundations for the 1-GW project in the Taiwan Strait, ahead of schedule.
Earlier, the joint venture completed installation of 219 pin piles for the foundations.
Installed using the offshore installation vessel Green Jade, the foundations are the largest to have been built in Taiwan.
In June 2025, the Hai Long project reached another important milestone when the first wind turbine delivered green electricity to Taipower’s grid.
The project is due to achieve full grid connection by 2026. It is being jointly developed by Mitsui & Co Ltd, Northland Power and Gentari International Renewables Pte Ltd.
