A Norwegian owner has won contracts in Guyana, Mexico and the US for three vessels with a combined value of more than US$60M
DOF Group has gained more contracts for its vessels operating in Latin and North America, and has ordered a new work-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV).
The Norwegian vessel owner said its latest round of contracts covers more than 300 days of firm vessel utilisation with a combined contract value of over US$60M.
Part of this haul will see 2011-built Skandi Skansen support the mooring of an offshore structure in Guyana during a six-week programme, commencing in October 2025. This 107-m vessel was built to an STX AH 04 design, with a beam of 24 m and accommodation for 90 people.
In Mexico, DOF secured two contracts for Skandi Implementer with two unnamed international oil companies for work in Q4 2025.
During more than two months of service, this 2018-built vessel, of Marin Teknikk 6027 design, will repair subsea cables and install other structures on the seabed.
In another contract, 2011-built third-party vessel Cade Candies will be used to provide walk-to-work services off the east coast of the US for around eight months starting in Q2 2026.
DOF Group chief executive Mons Aase said these contracts highlighted strong momentum in the North America region, resulting in project awards and high vessel utilisation.
“Skandi Implementer has been working non-stop in the region after we terminated its original long-term contract in Mexico in early 2025,” said Mr Aase.
In another deal, DOF has ordered a work-class ROV from Forum Energy Technologies (FET) for delivery in December 2025 to support subsea operations in Brazil.
FET will supply an XLX-C24 unit with an ICE unity control module and a supporting tether management system to DOF.
