Brazilian offshore vessel owner contracted by Trident Energy for three-year decommissioning project covering subsea infrastructure in the Campos Basin
OceanPact has signed a contract worth US$200M with Trident Energy do Brasil to perform offshore decommissioning services under the engineering, preparation, removal and disposal model. The project covers the subsea infrastructure of the remaining production systems of the P-07, P-12 and P-15 platforms in the Campos Basin. The project is set to commence in Q1 2026 and will last up to three years.
To support the project, ROV support vessels will be deployed from the OceanPact fleet, prepared for decommissioning operations. The activities will include engineering work, detailed mapping, and the removal of flexible lines and subsea equipment with the support of ROVs, as well as cutting and disconnections. OceanPact will also handle onshore dismantling and environmentally appropriate final disposal, prioritising recycling and stimulating the circular economy.
“This decommissioning contract reflects the joint efforts of our business units and subsidiaries in seeking operational synergies and efficiency gains,” said OceanPact commercial and marketing director, Erik Fabian Cunha.
OceanPact’s specialised subsidiary EnvironPact will take on the environmental, operational safety and risk management stages. The Subsea Operations Area will be responsible for removing lines and structures, while OceanPact Geo will conduct assessments and surveys. OceanPact Log will handle onshore management and dismantling. With the support of its own fleet, OceanPact guarantees the execution of offshore activities with maximum efficiency, safety and reliability.
