Long-term fixture for Twin X-Stern CSOV pushes Olympic Subsea’s backlog to US$500M
Olympic Subsea’s commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV), Olympic Notos, has secured a five-year walk-to-work (W2W) contract with Aker BP on the Norwegian continental shelf. The contract is scheduled to commence in Q1 2026.
Under the contract, which has options for another five years, the Twin X-Stern CSOV will support the unmanned Munin platform in the Yggdrasil area, as well as the Valhall PWP-Fenris hook-up campaign in 2026.
2024-built Olympic Notos is a hybrid-powered Ulstein SX222 design CSOV, with an overall length of 90 m, beam of 19 m, accommodation for 126, and an Ampelmann W-type W2W solution.
“This contract brings Olympic’s total backlog across oil and gas and renewables to more than US$500M,” said Olympic Subsea chief executive Stig Remøy. “It’s a clear endorsement of our flexible fleet, our people, and our long-term strategy for sustainable offshore operations.”
